100 things.

So, this blog is {ALL} about Him, right?Me as a kid

Well, sort of.

But, I’m not gonna lie – there’s a lot of me here.

Much of my story is laced with His presence and can be traced back to Him, but it’s still my story that He’s writing.

In no particular order, here are 100 random things (that you probably didn’t care to know) about me.

1. I met my husband at the international science fair.

2. I used to be really good at math. Now, not so much.

3. Some days, managing my inbox feels like a full-time job.

4. I have a love/hate relationship with food.

5. I work in advertising, but I consume very little traditional media.

6. Some days, I “forget” to exercise and spend too much time online.

7. I got my college diploma and marriage license at age 20.

8. I did #7 because I’m a go-getter.

9. Did I mention I’m a middle child?

10. Sometimes I forget to relax.

11. My only regret in life is that I didn’t take time to slow down and savor.

12. I’m always learning something.

13. Even though I’m a natural student, I’ll probably never go back to school.

14. Though a PhD would be nice.

15. I’m a dreamer.

16. I’ve fallen in love with the domestic scene.

17. I secretly hope I can stay at home when we have young children.

18. I was the cheerleading captain.

19. I lost 80 pounds between my 14th and 15th birthdays.

20. My hair is naturally curly. The straightener is no longer my best friend.

21. Some days I’m hyper organized. Other days I’m free spirited.

22. I have more fun when I’m the latter.

23. My husband is changing me. I laugh more now.

24. I’m afraid of cats, even kittens.

25. When I was three, I painted my baby sister blue from head to toe.

26. Another time, I drew a giant happy face on our white carpet with Kool-Aid.

27. Otherwise, I was an angel.

28. Sometimes I’m sarcastic.

29. I play trumpet.

30. I was a barista in college.

31. Live music makes my heart smile.

32. I cannot watch “A Walk to Remember” without a box of Kleenex.

33. I cannot watch any sappy love movie without a box of Kleenex.

34. I changed my college major twice.

35. I love being married.

36. I kind of take pride in being ditzy. I call it blissful ignorance.

37. I’ve been picking out baby names since I was like 12.

38. I’d rather bake than cook any day.

39. I had a toe fetish when I was kid. As in, I picked everyone’s.

40. I’m a farmer’s daughter.

41. I want to live in the country again someday.

42. Summer sunshine is my favorite.

43. I have a wicked temper that I’m not so proud of.

44. I also have a very forgiving husband.

45. I have a tendency to bring work home. It’s the student in me.

46. North Dakota’s always been my home, and it always will be.

47. I’d like to write a book someday. Perhaps a children’s book?

48. I was shy until age 17. Sometimes I still am.

49. I wish I was a morning person. I’m most certainly not.

50. I cherish walks around the neighborhood with my husband.

51. I’m kind of obsessed with books on happiness.

52. And organizing.

53. I spend far too much time on social media.

54. I’m addicted to my Kindle.

55. Books were my “thing” in grade school. I’d forgotten that until recently.

56. I’d choose a night in over a night out. But I do like both.

57. Any white wine and I get along just fiiiine.

58. Hosting parties is the best.

59. Just like any other 20-something, my interests are scattered.

60. My cleaning schedule is stricter than most.

61. I’d go crazy without my planner.

62. My husband has never had a planner in his life.

63. My favorite color is green, followed closely by orange.

64. Quirky home design peaks my interest.

65. The little things awe me.

66. This entertains my husband.

67. Travel is fun, but I’m content not seeing the whole world.

68. My sisters are my best friends.

69. So is my mom.

70. I was always the rule breaker.

71. I love the laidback nature of my in-laws.

72. And having brothers for the first time ever.

73. Before I finish the task at hand, I always need a new goal in sight. Always.

74. I took guitar lessons in the first grade.

75. Singing alto is fun.

76. I sing in the shower.

77. I vacuum my vacuum when it’s dusty. Is that weird?

78. Campfire white mochas are my fave indulgence.

79. And ice cream.

80. Am I evil for hoping our future children have red hair…?

81. If I ever get a tat (doubtful), it’ll be an exclamation point.

82. I cry way too easily.

83. I say yes way too often.

84. I think Etsy is brilliant. And addicting.

85. I wish I had more discipline.

86. I would like to exercise before work.

87. But I have a love affair with my snooze button.

88. I’m rarely not listening to music.

89. I like my strong calves. But I hate shopping for knee-high boots.

90. I take my vitamins religiously.

91. I don’t read my Bible enough. But I try.

92. Cold water is my favorite beverage ever.

93. I tune out on the topics of sports or politics.

94. In fact, I tune out a lot.

95. Fave food? Chinese, hands down.

96. Rainy days are amazing.

97. Searching health symptoms on the internet freaks me out.

98. Favorite season? Autumn. Amen.

99. Counting my blessings yields joy.

100. We are so blessed.
