Tonight, as I laid my nearly 10-month-old down in her crib, she looked up at me with those icy blue eyes and said the word I’ve been longing to hear: mama.
Sweet. Playful. Clear as a bell.
She then raised her soft baby arms as if to say, “Pick me up, mama. Let’s cuddle.”
And we did just that. Because there’s only one first time your baby calls you mama.
Goodnight, pumpkin. Thanks for making mama smile.
Love, LOVE, L.O.V.E this! The language of LOVE is never sweeter than this!
Thanks, mama!
So cool…probably the sweetest of the many firsts with your darling little girl!
Best. Feeling. Ever. Reading this brought a little tear to my eye as i remembered Brooke and Kylie’s first “mama”. So sweet.
